Trees are nature’s air conditioning – They soak up carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and prevent our planet from overheating. Unfortunately, due to the destruction of our forests and an increasing demand in fossil fuels trees haven’t been able to keep up with the worlds increasing carbon emissions.
A simple scheme to increase ALL of our carbon offset and a step closer to Netzero.
“As a passionate traveller & adventurer, I’ve been lucky enough to have travelled to many beautiful and diverse countries. Some of my best memories have been visiting the rain forests of Asia, I’ve trekked deep into what is left of these forests such as the primeval virgin rain forests of Borneo, with thousand-year-old trees, reaching 100 meters into the dense canopies – taller than Big Ben! But these experiences have always been within the confines of National parks. Conversely outside these pockets of ‘protected’ forests I’ve witnessed their destruction – miles upon miles of palm oil plantations a very depressing and sombre sight. As a keen mountaineer I’ve also visited many mountain ranges from the Scottish Highlands, The Arctic Circle, The Alps & the Himalayas and seen first hand the melting of the earth’s glaciers! We have all seen the destruction this causes on the television! This is why I’m passionate that my business does its bit. We aim for the highest standard of energy efficiency with the products we buy and sell and do what we can to reduce the environmental impact of our air conditioning systems. To reduce the carbon footprint further we have committed to planting trees for all the air conditioning systems we sell. No individual can reverse the effects of global warming but I’m a firm believer in the power of individual action adding up to make a big difference”.

Air Control will plant 1 tree for every Kw of cooling power we sell! As an example, we will plant 4 trees for a 4Kw heat pump air con system, a simple step to help offset the carbon footprint of all the air conditioning systems sold.
We’ve partnered with Just one Tree a non-profit initiative removing CO2 from the atmosphere through global reforestation. They plant trees in areas severely affected by deforestation to maximise the effect on reducing global warming. In the process they help to provide agricultural education and sustainable incomes to local communities.
But they don’t stop there. JUST ONE Tree concentrates on restoring the entire ecosystem by planting on land and in the oceans, and they also focus on helping to shape the next generation of planet-conscious thinkers by bringing environmental education into the classrooms with lesson plans and JUST ONE Tree Day.
But more than just a number, our forest creates rural employment, gives homes to wildlife and marine life AND will absorb approximately 108.42 tonnes of CO2 as it grows.
