With no cooling & a dated heating system that was expensive to run Captec invited Air Control to provide a tender to design and install a multi-unit VRV system throughout their premises in Segensworth Fareham. It was clear from the start that Captec were prepared to invest in a modern efficient system with the capability of heating and cooling in different parts of the building.
Larger offices of this nature require cooling in some areas and heating in others, even in adjacent rooms. This demands a flexible, fully controlled system that delivers simultaneous heat recovery and complete comfort to all areas in the most energy efficient way possible.
Captec requested that the works need to be completed in normal working hours working alongside their staff – thus completing the project in the most efficient, clean & safe manner.
With a mix of large open plan areas and smaller modular offices and limited space for external units Air Control Director Sam Tolliday quickly identified & proposed a Daikin Heat Recovery VRV system with a mix of 4-way Blow ceiling cassettes and wall mounted units.
Heat Recovery simultaneous air conditioning systems are the most energy efficient heating and cooling systems on the market. They have the ability to recover the energy from one office in cooling mode and transfer the heat to another unit in heat mode – not wasting any energy to the outside. Heat Recovery air con systems do require a higher capital investment, but the energy savings made will pay back from savings made from your fuel bill.
The modular offices had individual wired controls installed alongside this the whole system can be operated and monitored by Daikin I Manager a state-of-the-art central controller.
